If it's just tackle/gear for fishing, not boating related, it's easy to claim over 600.00 per year by the time you add in line, rods, reels, tackle and the occasional big ticket item like fish finders, trolling motors etc etc.  Now toss in fuel, boat & motor & trailer & maintenance plus toys, launch fees, waterway fees, licenses, insurance, storage, slips, upgrades etc etc.  Memberships, magazines, lodging, ice hut rentals, snowmobiles, atvs, cottages.

That's just the short list!

Plus TAXES!

It's no wonder some folks say our fish are worth over $100.00 per pound.

Try adding up the value of your own gear one day and see what I mean.

I wouldn't trade it for anything!

Michael

I started taking fishing seriously in the last 12 months, and since have spent...*ugh.... approximately $4,000.   No boat, just gear & tackle.

Ya. I can see you guys racking up some big $$. I'm at the low end of the scale, but my schedule only allows for maybe 6 days a year on the water. :(

I dont really want to think about how much I spend each year. Last week I ended up with a $5200 order of just tackle. Half of that was soft plastics.
